New mosaic by Luis, completed and handed over to the clients at the weekend - needless to say they loved it and are thinking about another commission. The name for Robin in Spanish is Petirrojo.
I saw a program where they set the pattern into wet sand and then used quick drying cement, when it is dry you then grout up your design, I'm sure this is cheating, but hey, I just want something pretty and that will work. Also hoping to go on a pottery course this autumn.
@Anne - Have a look at this article Luis wrote for Downsizer it might give you some pointers. http://www.downsizer.net/Articles/Make_your_own/How_to_make_a_mosaic_house_plaque/
That is sooo beautiful! We are hoping to have a go at creating a mosaic for either the garden or sun room, may be this winter, when we have time!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne - you must let us see the mosaic when you have done it. Any ideas on which method you will choose?
